In 2005, the canonity of the revived series was vastly debated, a conclusion was reached about 2006, with references to the original run, proving this was no 'remake'. Similarly, the age-old debate of the TV Movie's canonity was settled with the appearance of Paul McGann in The Next Doctor, in 2008.
