Stevan Moffat has confirmed in DWM that the losing of the Christmas Special's script was a joke after all.
It was intended to cover up the fact (deliberately rubbishly) that he hadn't written it yet, though who can blame him since instead of Russell T Davies' tactic of emailing DWM reporter Benjamin Cook three times a day, but instead was updating Sherlock Holmes for the 21st century!
