Will Johnny Depp Star In A Doctor Who Movie?

NO.

Please, for all sacred to Doctor Who, can my small audience NOT beleive these rumours. They wer MADE UP. Johnny Depp is NOT in a movie. NOT.

The following post I wrote APoliceBox, a site which I am part of yet don't think I can really give such direct instructions on as I'm not its owner.

Some news sources are currently stating that Johnny Depp is lined up to play the Doctor in a movie in 2012. This should definately be taken with more than a pinch of salt.

After taking more than $60m for his role in the fourth of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Johnny Depp is taking a moment to consider if playing Doctor Who would be the right artistic and financial move for him.

The film release of Doctor Who is scheduled for 2012 and written by Russell T Davies who departed the television show in 2008. Since his departure, rumours have abounded that he left the TV set in order to film the big screen version.

Davies said that bringing the franchise to the silver screen will help regenerate the character and broaden the range of people who will get to know the Dr. Who. He added that the film will have new concepts but will offer the same humor, adventure, and scariness factors as the programme.

Regardless of what Johnny Depp decides to do, it is quite curious that Depp seems to keep scoring these odd British roles one after another.

This was the definate view taken by movienewsmovietrailers.com however this is not confirmed and should be taken with a gallen-load of salt.

So nip to Tescos for that salt now!
