Building A 2010 TARDIS Playset from the Pieces of the 2005 Version

Fed up of having to buy another £40 playset every time the producers feel like a change? Don’t have enough room in your house for two? Or maybe you simply don’t like Character’s new design? Fear not - simply use the old playset to create this masterpiece. It’s not accurate, but neither is the official version.

These instructions assume you already know roughly how to construct the Tennant era model. Look at the pictures for assistance.

1. Build the frame - this will act as the lower level.
2. Add one second-level piece. This is the floor. Turn the (green) label upside-down to show the white side.
3. Build up the three top-level pieces - these should have no labels on apart from the lift-up maintenance panels white - these could have the labels off, it is a matter of which you prefer. Make sure that the indent into the second-level piece has a green maintenance panel inside it.
4. Install the console, making sure that there are at least two holes (at the top) facing the second-level piece.
5. Install the grey ‘arms’ underneath the two ‘sticks’ sticking out of the lower level in front of the second-level. Add the door on the ramp in between these, with the ramp fitting neatly underneath the white piece.
6. Build the two ‘semi-transparent non-linear living buttresses’ (spindly orange things to you and me) with pegs either side of the door and attach the vortex/wall pieces appropriately.
7. Have a search for anything you can find to enhance this! Look in the loft. Add the hammers hanging down from the top level as a swing. Use the barriers and car seats included in the set. A hatstand will be good.Invent!

I may soon try the mid-seventies model. Stay tuned!

Anyone know why mine glows green instead of blue?
