Advent Calendar Day Seventeen: Trading Cards

Since the Alien Armies range was terminated last year, the Doctor Who universe has been missing something tarding-cards-wise. The free pack here is playable in the same way as the Alien Armies in that each card has a Defence (Green) and Attack (Red). To win a card, you must have a higher Attack score than the opponent's Defence.Don't expect them all to be avaliable quite so easily as they are here though!

Day Thirteen: Poll Results!

You may remember, way back in November I started my 'Best Story Ever' poll. You were invited to submit your favourite story ever before I made them all into a poll. Thanks to the eight voters (that's a record for me!) we have...a draw. The draw is between the two epic Tenth Doctor stories Midnight and Blink.

Tanks  to all who voted.

Day Ten: Real Police Boxes

Once again, I am doing a Google Maps Thing.
Will Work On Google Maps/Earth, Bing, and others. Most will work on Google street view

MK2 Boxes:
(The TARDIS was based on one of these.)

Earls Court Box: 51.492220, -0.193013 (this was constructed in 1996, so it's not an actual 50s box) (Mk2 replica)

Glasgow Boxes:
(Originally painted red, these looked a lot like the MK1s, with 'POLICE' written across their roofs, and two signs.)

Infamous Cathedral Square Box: 55°51'43.47"N 4°14'11.36"W

Buchanan Street Box:55°51'37.90"N 4°15'14.42"W

Wilson Street Box: 55.858686, -4.248569 (this is rarity - the only one of a kind I've found - most Glasgow boxes were once red, before being repainted blue. And yes, boxes were found on traffic islands!)

Byres Road Box: 55.878028, -4.290011 (now a charming little coffee stand!)

Advent Calendar Day Seven: Series Five Crossword

I used such a rubbish website for this that I'm not even going to link it, besides I can't remember which it was - it only reveals afterwards that it is not an online crossword that it generates. So if you want to do it, you'll have to print it out.

The Official Doctor Who Website Advent(ure) Calendar

Four days ago, the BBC Website revived their 'Adventure Calendar'. Well, IMHO they bodged it up again. So, the link...well, I suppose we should. Find this year's Adventure Calendar here, or, if you a) want a 'proper' advent calendar or b) want an advent calendar that you can open before 4 o' clock in the afternoon, click here for the 2007 version. (Sorry, the other one was in flash, but has since bee removed. It had cool slidy doors etc. They deleted that one.

However, if you're looking for one this year, be sure to check out this site, or this one.

I hope you've been kept happy by that, but just in case you're still looking for more, Combom has one, as does A Police Box - or of ocurse, stick around 'til tommorrow and find another treat on my Advent Calendar!

It's Winter: My Advent Calendar

Just before I begin, don't expect a treat daily or anything, just...regularly.

Starting tomorrow, I will create for you a small advent calendar. And expect more than just festive images too!
