Doctor Who Series Six Is Seven Episodes Long

The nine-month filming on Dr Who has finally taken its toll and...

Well, unlike the Sun's 2008 report of the show being axed, Series Six is half-length.

Oh well, it will be folowed by Series Seven in Autumn of the same year - but never fear, I'll be on holiday early this year so I'll STILL miss two episodes' coverage!

As Mr Moffat points out, this leaves us with a maximum of a few months until a Doctor Who episode at any point in the year.

What do you think of this scheduling? Please comment below.

The Yeti: Lost?

Stevan Moffat recently (in DWM) joked that the script for his Christmas Special had vanished. This was, confirmed later in the issue, a joke made by Moffat as a rubbish excuse for not having finished it yet, and that's why he couldn't write Production Notes as he had to type it from memory.

So, naturally, the tabloids have spun it into a story:

Filming for the DOCTOR WHO Christmas (10) special has been thrown into jeopardy after the top-secret script reportedly went missing.

Executive producer and lead writer Steven Moffat is facing a race against time to create a new draft before filming commences next month (Jul10), according to Daily Star Sunday.

The writer reveals, "It's a flashback Christmas special."

Matt Smith currently stars at the Time Lord in the popular sci-fi show.

This is not true.

Neither is the bit about the flashback, come to it: that was stated way back when Moffat was joking about the universe exploding, as The Big Bang being real. Does anybody reporting this actually read DWM?
