Collect-and-Build Pandorica Figure Wave

It looks like earlier speculation may indeed be correct, as here we have a new wave of figures - also availiable as a set - each containing a part of the collect-and-build Pandorica.

The set contains a Weeping Angel, Amy Pond, Pandorica Guard Cyberman (with visible skull), Roman Auton, Silurian, Doctor (with fez and mop) and a part per figure of the Pandorica. Most parts contain a Pandorica-styled classic Audio Drama CDs to clip on the outside for the round patches of the prison-turned-stasis-pod-turned-magic-box.

The figures cost £8.99 individually and £59.99 together.

Thanks to the eight voters (that's a record for me!) we have...a draw. The draw is between the two epic Tenth Doctor stories Midnight and Blink.

Eleventh Doctor With Fez and Mop Action Figure?

Also ......... A MOP!!!!


So, it looks quite likely, even though I am on of the three people on earth who isn't yet convinced about how genuine the feed actually is.

New Amy Pond Action Figure To Be Released

This Christmas sees Character release a new figure of Eleventh Doctor's companion Amy Pond in her original 'Kissogram' police uniform, as seen in The Eleventh Hour.


The figure will be available separately (reported by the Mirror as an Argos exclusive), and as part of a boxed set with the Eleventh Doctor and TARDIS (joining the growing collection of exclusive sets from Forbidden Planet). Both are due to be released in the week leading up to Christmas.

The new issue of DWM is out Thursday, or Wednesday for subscribers. The main feature of the new issue is an exclusive preview of the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Matt Smith tells DWM about guest star Michael Gambon: “Michael is a naughty man, a naughty actor,” Matt laughs. “He’s hugely interesting, everyone on set could have listened to his stories all day!”

Doctor Who 'Most Wanted 3D Programme'

According to The Daily Mirror, Panasonic has recently conducted a survey of which TV programmes should be converted to 3D. Doctor Who came first, followed by Wallace and Gromit at second and Top Gear at third.

Day Ten: Real Police Boxes

Once again, I am doing a Google Maps Thing.

MK2 Boxes:
(The TARDIS was based on one of these.)

Earls Court Box: 51.492220, -0.193013 (this was constructed in 1996, so it's not an actual 50s box) (Mk2 replica)

(Originally painted red, these looked a lot like the MK1s, with 'POLICE' written across their roofs, and two signs.)

Wilson Street Box: 55.858686, -4.248569 (this is rarity - the only one of a kind I've found - most Glasgow boxes were once red, before being repainted blue. And yes, boxes were found on traffic islands!)

Advent Calendar Day Nine: The Season 6b theory

The season 6b theory is that the Second Doctor actually had another series of adventures after his trial. He escaped, and had a set of other stories that have been seen or refferred to. This is my take on it.

After the Doctor was put on trial by the Time Lords, quite a few other stories happened:




1. Return to Earth
The Doctor is exiled to Earth.



2. The Three Doctors
The Doctor meets his Third self and sees the First Doctor on the TARDIS scanner.



3. The Monster From Space
Meeting Jamie and the Brigidier again, the Doctor has to save the world from the terrible Zodin, a creature that hops like a kangeroo.



4. Attack of the Daleks
Thinking that the Brigidier is dead, the Doctor has to fight the Daleks again.



5. The Two Doctors
Meeting up with his Sixth self, the Doctor fights Sontarans.



6. The Aliens
Jamie is found by the Time Lords, who wipe his mind and return him to Earth. The Doctor just escapes - but he knows that his appearance will change soon...



7. The Five Doctors
The Doctor meets his First, Next, and Fifth selves and the Brigidier, who is not dead. Fake ghosts of Jamie and Victoria also appear.

8. The Dillema
The Doctor finds himself confronted by the Time Lords - and is forced to change his appearance...

Fact of the Day - An Unearthly Child

• An Unearthly Child was the first serial of Doctor Who.
• A 'pilot episode' was sent to producer Sydney Newman, who said that the character of the Doctor needed to be toned down.
• The story received many complaints about the theme tune, which was deemed to scary, hoiwever the BBC refused to change it.
• The pilot theme tune contained a thunder crack.
• The third episode, 'The Forest of Fear', set in caveman times, was broadcast 04/12/1963.

Fact of the Day: The Dalek Invasion of Earth - 46 Years Ago

• The Dalek Invasion of Earth was the second story of Season Two of Doctor Who.
• Episode Three was first broadcast 04/12/1964.
• It was the second appearance of the Daleks.
• Also on 4/12, but in 1920, was the date that Kathy Nightengale was transported to by the touch of a Weeping Angel.

Amy Pond Action Figure in the making?

Some Tabloids / Sites have been reporting an Amy Pond (Policewoman costume) variant. Although unconfirmed by Character Options, there is a picture, which makes it all the more likely. Yes it is possible to fake Action Figures with Photoshop, but the people who write tabloids frankly aren't intelligent enough.
